Because No1 Asked is born from a desire to share what I assume people will find useful. I have done some legwork and found that often times when I am with friends and family, I am sharing ideas, recipes, useful tips and tricks etc. If you know me, you know that I am very particular…and some call me a little “bougie”. I am mostly a “less is more” kind of gal who likes minimal clutter and I take an “everything needs it’s own place” approach, with the exception of my corner cabinet which is a death trap of appliances and oddly shaped items lacking any kind of organization. Sometimes I am a “more is more” person, but it mostly relates to options. I need options. I need to know that I can decide what I want from a variety of options. I analyze and sometimes, overanalyze, every tool, product, recipe, restaurant, hotel, activity etc. If I am spending my time and/or money, I want to be damn sure that they are not being wasted. I will weigh out the pros and cons, seek the advice of others and then, when I have exhausted everyone and everything, I will decide. Lucky for you, you will meet me at the destination and bypass the journey.

Generally speaking, there is too much information everywhere. It is overwhelming and can be difficult to navigate. That’s what this is all about. No one asked me, but maybe it will be helpful or the recipe will be useful, or not. Either way, I will be here doing what I know and love.

- A quick “About Me” - I am Taylr without an “o”. I have 2 pretty rad kiddos and a wonderful husband. I live in Northern California and work my day job as a General Manager in wine. I was a professional chef for over a decade. I rose to the top of my game really quickly, but then I traded in my apron for a more regular schedule and truthfully I was burned out. I had a family and I wanted to be present with them. I probably ended up working more when I left the kitchen, I just better hours. Seeking balance has been a challenge for me, but I feel like I am finally in a place where this feels right and good

Over the past few years I have learned a great deal about myself and found the things I really truly enjoy in this life. Self discovery is tricky, but through life, work, loss, grief, love, and so much more I feel truly evolved.. I want to share the joy that life gives me, but I’ll also share the heartbreak that life has dealt me. Cooking is so important to me. I feel like it is my way of connecting with people both here and beyond. It has always been that for me. Cooking is and always will be a major part of my identity. Part of that is hospitality and bringing people together. This is who I am and what I love most in the world. Whether or not anyone pays attention is okay, I just wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone that could potentially add some value to someone’s life. -

Thanks for taking this ride with me.
